As a Business Central Support Technician and Developer, you are a key member of the Information Technology (IT) Team that will provide Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central support, development and expert guidance in processes and process improvement for Business Central in addition to other Information Technology related tasks. You will be a Liaison between the IT Department and other departments using Business Central.
Your tasks will be both reactive (assisting staff with Business Central / IT related usage issues and troubleshooting, mitigating and documenting operational issues and incidents, etc.) and proactive (assisting in writing Business Central extensions, improving Business Central processes, tracking/auditing, performing disaster recovery tests, advising on information security, etc.).

Responsibilities (what you do):
- Provide ongoing Business Central support and serve as a Business Central Expert and Liaison for the IT Department.
- Develop, customize, and integrate new extensions, features and functionalities within the Business Central system.
- Work with other departments to develop, document, and implement process improvements within Business Central.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and documentation guidelines.
- Lead training/working sessions on Business Central best practices and processes.
- Support Company Managers, Teams, and Employees with Business Central related issues as requested.
- Direct communication to appropriate personnel and include a courtesy copy to all personnel that may be impacted by the communication.
- Research and acquire pertinent information necessary to complete assigned tasks; document and distribute deliverables. Accept suggestions and directions relating to work.
- Take independent action to use available resources to perform assigned tasks.
- Communicate important and/or urgent messages with multiple channels. Follow up as necessary to make sure that the communication was received and understood.
Required Skills and Experience (what you need/have):
- Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV.
- Experience writing Business Central Extensions using AL programming language.
- Experience building or modifying reports using Microsoft Report Builder.
- Express ideas and work product clearly and concisely in writing in applicable IT systems and verbally.
- Speak clearly, calmly and professionally as needed to be easily understood and within the appropriate channels internally and externally. Using appropriate language in oral and written communications.
- Optimally use available web and online communication tools and interfaces.
- Be able to quickly learn new information, retain this information, and apply the learned information to performing assigned tasks.
- Able to work independently on assigned tasks after being appropriately trained; proactively seek and obtain necessary training and consultations.
- Ability to reliably, consistently, and efficiently complete expected tasks within established timeframes.
- Attention to details in all assignments and duties.
