Successful Trainers positively engage clients with EQuIS products, facilitating fluency with the EQuIS products necessary to support the diverse roles within their organizations. Trainers are skilled in synthesizing workflows from client needs and tailoring existing training materials as necessary. They have a background in environmental data or live instruction and possess the ability to adjust material delivered to suit the audience skill level and project timeline. Trainers can prepare professional, engaging instruction, and provide timely and meaningful follow-up.
As a member of the EarthSoft Solutions Department, you use communication to help EarthSoft clients and staff succeed. You facilitate client product training by working closely with the client and in collaboration with other EarthSoft teams. Some travel is required, in accordance with corporate travel policy. Work is conducted via e-mail, telephone, internet conferencing tools, and/or in-person.
Responsibilities (what you do):
General Trainer Skills
- Develop skills for multiple EQuIS products and specialize in select areas
- Correspond with clients on EQuIS Training needs and preparations and follow-up with clients post-training
- Routinely participate in and complete online or in-person Trainings
- Provide excellent troubleshooting using a variety of resources and tools; provide suggestions to manager for improvement to processes and/or the product; involve product SMEs as needed
- Debrief internal leadership after conclusion of Trainings
Relationship Management Skills
- Participate actively; share responsibility and rewards and contribute to the capability of the group as a whole
- Foster long-term learning by giving feedback and support to group members and peers; put key points into persuasive and clear ways so people are motivated as well as clear about expectations and best practices
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with peers in other departments
Communication Skills
- Interact with clients in a professional and calm demeanor
- Provide regular “Knowledge Shares” to others internally
- Respond to both internal and external communication in a timely and complete manner
- Create and maintain comprehensive written and presentation materials to support EarthSoft staff and client communication
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements (what you need):
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field such as Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Chemistry
- 3+ years’ prior work experience, preferably in a related field
- Strong software application aptitude
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Very good customer service skills, including the ability to actively listen to customers and the ability to ask appropriate questions to gain clarification
- Up to 50% travel required
