Electronic Data Deliverable Specialist

EQuIS is the premier environmental and geotechnical data management system in the world. EQuIS is used by many government agencies, industrial property owners, over 300 consultants, and over 400 analytical labs around the world. Many US EPA regions, state regulatory agencies, and other government organizations use EQuIS. EQuIS interfaces with ArcGIS for advanced environmental decision support and data analysis. Many other software companies link with EQuIS.

As an Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD) Specialist, you are a member of the Vision Group within the EarthSoft Product Department. You have environmental laboratory experience and a strong working knowledge of environmental chemistry principles. You are a contributing team member who follows standard operating procedures and helps the team succeed.

Responsibilities (what you do):

  • Create and support EDD format mapping and documentation based on EDD format specifications for common formats (e.g., SEDD, ERPToolsX, Geotracker, Scribe, etc.).
  • Understand the mapping and structure of EQuIS data for export into the structure of agency reporting EDD formats (e.g., ERPIMS, Geotracker, SEDD, NIRIS, etc.).
  • Cultivate and maintain knowledge of formats and regulations for various oversight groups.
  • Engage with the environmental data community to ensure fluency with industry evolution in format usage.

Required Skills and Experience (what you need/have):

  • Experience with environmental data management systems such as EQuIS
  • Experience checking EDDs using checker platforms to review EDD specifications and designing LIMS mapping/remapping for specialized client EDD needs
  • Familiarity with environmental regulatory data requirements for programs such as ERPIMS, WQX, SDWIS, GeoTracker or Scribe
  • Strong understanding of interpretation and data usability assessment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical writing
  • Strong knowledge of environmental chemistry principles
  • Knowledge and experience in environmental sampling is helpful
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental or Geological Sciences (or similar), Computer Science, Engineering, or Geography
