EarthSoft and ICO Offer Hosted EQuIS Online in Australia

EarthSoft announced today the decision to partner with ICO
of North Ryde, NSW, for the provision of its critical server infrastructure for Help Desk and Sales and
Marketing operations in Australia.
EarthSoft’s EQuIS software is the most widely used in the world for environmental data management, with
many government and industrial clients, as well as most large consultants and all top labs. EarthSoft supplies
free hosted “sandboxes” for all large Enterprise clients and now may better support these large Australian
and New Zealand clients.
Established in 1997, ICO has built an enviable reputation providing leading edge technologies and services,
offering expert support and an unparalleled track record of extremely high uptime (99.999% availability).
For the first seven years ICO concentrated on Dedicated Servers, however, in 2004 virtualization technology
became a real option to add to their offering and they became the first web hosting company in the world to
offer virtualization technology in the form of Virtual Dedicated Servers.
In July 2007, the business of ICO International Pty Limited (ICO) was acquired by the publically listed itX
Group Limited (ASX:ITX) and has since been integrated as a business divisional unit. itX was formed in 1991
as i.t.connXions to provide value-added distribution to the Australian Reseller Channel.
Mitch Beard, CEO of EarthSoft “We selected ICO for their uptime record and also for their dedication to
customer support which is unparalleled in the high availability hosting market in Australia. We know that at
any time of the day, we’ll be able to speak to a qualified support engineer who will be able to help us.”
ICO subjects all high security devices to full security testing before they are deployed — including the
installation and configuration of the Operating System, the disabling of vulnerable or unneeded services, and
advanced vulnerability tests.
EarthSoft sales in Australia grew rapidly in 2008 and 2009, and large Oracle and ESRI implementations require
hosted web dashboards and sandboxes for testing, training and phased implementations.
Thousands of environmental laboratories, consultants, and other organizations processing thousands of
electronic data delivery (EDD) submissions each year use EDP and Enterprise EDP. EDP checks many different
EDD formats including AGS. Sample Planning Module automates the preparation of chain of custodies (CoCs)
and bottle labels, with an included Completeness Checker. EarthSoft’s EDGE provides links to data loggers
and sensors for the warehousing of real-time environmental data. EQuIS for ArcGIS Server provides EQuIS
integration with web GIS reporting.
EQuIS is all .NET, available in both Oracle and SQL Server. EarthSoft and ICO are both Microsoft Gold
Certified, certifying both companies provide state-of-the-art technologies and consulting services.
