Organizations increasingly need to move environmental data beyond operational workflows and into data lakes, data warehouses, and other big data applications. The Table Export processing option helps EarthSoft-hosted clients do that efficiently by delivering selected EQuIS tables as analytics-ready easy-to-consume files on a scheduled basis, without manual pulls or direct database access.
The Table Export processing option provides a managed and secure way to access EQuIS data for external application integration, reporting, and analytics. This option is granted through the EQuIS REST API licensing. EarthSoft configures and manages the export job for the hosted database, then delivers the files to a secure Azure Blob Storage container.
With the Table Export, clients can select the EQuIS tables they want to export, choose a delivery schedule such as daily, weekly, or monthly, and receive one file per table for each run. Supported tables can include examples such as DT_LOCATION, DT_SAMPLE, DT_TEST, DT_RESULT, and RT_ANALYTE. For certain use cases, such as DT_LOGGER_DATUM, the export can also be configured to include a defined time window, such as the last several days of records.
Exports are delivered in CSV or Parquet file types, with Parquet recommended for most analytics workflows because it typically improves storage efficiency and query performance at scale. Consistent file names across recurring exports also make it easier for client teams to automate ingestion into cloud analytics environments and enterprise data pipelines.
Security and controlled delivery are central to the process. Files are delivered to a secured Azure Blob Storage container, with options that can align to organizational requirements, including Entra ID managed identity, access keys, IP filtering, virtual networks, and private endpoints. This supports a more governed integration pattern while still giving clients flexibility in how they load and use the exported data after delivery.
For organizations that want to operationalize EQuIS data in modern analytics environments, the Table Export Process provides a cleaner, more scalable path. It reduces manual effort, avoids the complexity of direct database access, and helps teams move trusted environmental data into the platforms for enhanced analysis and decision-making.
