In this Office Hours session, a member of the EarthSoft Help Desk will demonstrate how to create Isopleths and Vertical Profiles in EQuIS Professional.
The EQuIS Professional Tools group provides scientists and data managers a simple and intuitive means for reviewing water quality data and producing graphs which effectively communicate important parameters pertaining to a lake, pond, reservoir, stream, or river. The Isopleth tool can be used to create a three-variable graph in which the horizontal axis shows time, the vertical axis shows depth/elevation, and the body of the graph shows the value of a given parameter. The Vertical Profile tool creates a vertical trend, or line, chart that displays one or more parameters at a specified location and time.
This session will be held at 11am ET and 6pm ET on March 4th.
To sign up for a session, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or register on the Office Hours page and indicate your session of preference. Note that spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

EarthSoft announced today the decision to partner with ICO
of North Ryde, NSW, for the provision of its critical server infrastructure for Help Desk and Sales and
Marketing operations in Australia.
EarthSoft’s EQuIS software is the most widely used in the world for environmental data management, with
many government and industrial clients, as well as most large consultants and all top labs. EarthSoft supplies
free hosted “sandboxes” for all large Enterprise clients and now may better support these large Australian
and New Zealand clients.
Established in 1997, ICO has built an enviable reputation providing leading edge technologies and services,
offering expert support and an unparalleled track record of extremely high uptime (99.999% availability).
For the first seven years ICO concentrated on Dedicated Servers, however, in 2004 virtualization technology
became a real option to add to their offering and they became the first web hosting company in the world to
offer virtualization technology in the form of Virtual Dedicated Servers.
In July 2007, the business of ICO International Pty Limited (ICO) was acquired by the publically listed itX
Group Limited (ASX:ITX) and has since been integrated as a business divisional unit. itX was formed in 1991
as i.t.connXions to provide value-added distribution to the Australian Reseller Channel.
Mitch Beard, CEO of EarthSoft “We selected ICO for their uptime record and also for their dedication to
customer support which is unparalleled in the high availability hosting market in Australia. We know that at
any time of the day, we’ll be able to speak to a qualified support engineer who will be able to help us.”
ICO subjects all high security devices to full security testing before they are deployed — including the
installation and configuration of the Operating System, the disabling of vulnerable or unneeded services, and
advanced vulnerability tests.
EarthSoft sales in Australia grew rapidly in 2008 and 2009, and large Oracle and ESRI implementations require
hosted web dashboards and sandboxes for testing, training and phased implementations.
Thousands of environmental laboratories, consultants, and other organizations processing thousands of
electronic data delivery (EDD) submissions each year use EDP and Enterprise EDP. EDP checks many different
EDD formats including AGS. Sample Planning Module automates the preparation of chain of custodies (CoCs)
and bottle labels, with an included Completeness Checker. EarthSoft’s EDGE provides links to data loggers
and sensors for the warehousing of real-time environmental data. EQuIS for ArcGIS Server provides EQuIS
integration with web GIS reporting.
EQuIS is all .NET, available in both Oracle and SQL Server. EarthSoft and ICO are both Microsoft Gold
Certified, certifying both companies provide state-of-the-art technologies and consulting services.

EarthSoft announced today the appointment of Dan Alexander as Vice President of Sales.
Mr. Alexander has over twenty years sales and sales management experience including environmental testing firms, consultants, and data management software solutions. Most recently, Mr. Alexander was Vice President of National Programs for a leading environmental laboratory network working with some of the largest companies in North America. Prior to that, Dan was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a company with a hosted data management system.
Mr. Alexander remarked, “I’m pleased to join the EarthSoft team and lead the sales efforts of this strong, successful software product line. EQuIS is the most widely used data management solution in the market and I look forward to assist the company to build on its success.”
EarthSoft sales grew strongly in both 2008 and 2009, and now with the addition of Mr. Alexander, EarthSoft is positioned to accelerate this strong performance into 2010 and beyond. EarthSoft has announced new products such as Sample Planning Module, and a new Enterprise EDP for Labs module. EarthSoft’s government business continues to expand rapidly as large EQuIS Enterprise systems are deployed with local, state, and federal clients. EQuIS is also being considered for several large independent property portfolios. The EQuIS Data Gathering Engine (EDGE) begins shipments this week.
EarthSoft’s Mitch Beard said, “EarthSoft continues to invest in our management team and infrastructure and we are very excited to add Dan’s skills and expertise. Our new products will expand on many of the existing configurations. Dan’s experience and background will help EarthSoft more effectively cooperate and collaborate with our many laboratory and consulting clients and LIMS vendors.”
EDP and Enterprise EDP are used by thousands of environmental laboratories, consultants, and other organizations processing thousands of electronic data delivery (EDD) submissions each year. EDP checks many different EDD formats including SEDD, 4-File, GeoTracker, DIGGS, NPDES, LakeWatch, and many others. Sample Planning Module automates the preparation of chain of custodies (CoCs) and bottle labels, with an included Completeness Checker.
EQuIS is available in both hosted and licensed options and houses some of the largest environmental databases in North America, with a user base including over 20 state government entities and 5 EPA Regions. Most large organizations still prefer to buy and operate their own software and have server infrastructure. Others wish to use externally hosted databases. EQuIS offers both, increasing the versatility dramatically compared to single-vendor hosted-only systems.
