EarthSoft Receives Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Status

Delivers 600th EQuIS 5 Professional License

December 5, 2009 – EarthSoft announces today that it has achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Status. EarthSoft also announced the delivery of its 600th EQuIS 5 Professional license.

The 600 seat milestone creates an army of EQuIS “power users” providing data management services such as data migrations, custom reports, new spreadsheets, new graphics, and new queries. The .NET Smart Client features in EQuIS 5 Professional, such as the Crosstab Report Writer, support customizations and query building sessions. Often, proprietary hosted “software-as-a-service” solutions provide limited functionality. Combining EQuIS Professional with EQuIS Enterprise allows the 600 Power Users to support thousands of casual users of EQuIS data with Enterprise EDP, EZView, EQuIS Information Agents, and EQuIS for ArcGIS Server.

EarthSoft continued to grow rapidly throughout 2009, with new clients including CH2M Hill/Critigen, Montana DEQ, Tennessee DEC, North Carolina DOT, City of New York, Shaw Environmental, HDR Engineering, Booz Allen Hamilton, Areva, URS, AECOM, Geoklock, several cities and counties, and many others. Hosted EQuIS sales grew 54% from 2008 and EarthSoft services grew 122% from 2008. All major US labs have downloaded EQuIS Data Processor (EDP) for submitting Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) and the SGS Group purchased a Site License of EDP for all its labs worldwide.

EarthSoft currently manages 20 servers in five different data centers. EarthSoft CEO Mitch Beard recently spent 2 weeks in China attending the ESRI User Conference and visiting data managers. EarthSoft’s Scot Weaver has recently visited Africa on a Training contract for Barrick Gold.

EQuIS Professional is an advanced decision support system including a relational database schema in SQL Server or Oracle for water, air, geotechnical, and other types of scientific and technical data. EQuIS 5 Professional also has a powerful ArcGIS GUI. EQuIS easily supports several scientific data types, such as groundwater, sediment, limnology, and other water and subsurface data, making EQuIS the most widely used data management software in the world.

Dr. Arnold Gray at EarthSoft said, “We want to thank CH2M Hill and Critigen for their demonstrated support for EarthSoft and our EQuIS 5 software. We feel exceptionally fortunate to be in a position to work with Critigen and their group of data management specialists. We are confident EQuIS will serve Critigen well as our companies work together into the future.”
