We are pleased to announce the new EarthSoft Community Center, which will be replacing the EQuIS-users Yahoo! Group.
Members of the EQuIS community will have the opportunity to review and post comments in several EQuIS Discussion Forums and stay current on all EarthSoft news and announcements. In addition, EarthSoft clients with current Annual Maintenance agreements will also be able to access the EarthSoft Wiki from this site and use a Web-based file transfer application to transfer files directly to EarthSoft Support Staff.
To access the new EarthSoft Community Center, go to http://community.earthsoft.com/ and click the Register link in the top right. When registering, please use your full name and work e-mail address, otherwise you might not be approved for using the Community Center. Once your registration request is approved, you will be able to log in and review the discussion forums. Access to the advanced site features is approved based on your Annual Maintenance Agreement status.
Over the next year, we will be rolling out other applications that will be accessible only through the EarthSoft Community Center.
EQuIS-users Yahoo! Group: We will endeavor to make this transition from the EQuIS-users Yahoo! Group as seamless as possible. While you can still post comments to the Yahoo! Group for the time being, we will be phasing it out over the next few weeks.
File Transfer application: The new Web-based file transfer application is replacing your existing FTP folder located at ftp://support.earthsoft.com (some companies may not have an EarthSoft FTP folder – check with your EarthSoft PoC if you are unsure). Please contact the Help Desk if you have files that need to be transferred from your existing FTP Folder to your new EarthSoft Community Center account. To transfer a file, click the File Transfer link in the Community Center. The “Upload File(s)” tab should be pre-selected. Browse to the location of your file and click the Upload button. Once your file is uploaded, click the “My Files” tab, select the file you wish to send, and then click the “Send File(s)” button. You can then enter a Case Number, e-mail address, subject, and message.
Online Documentation: Your EarthSoft Community Center login will become your new Online Documentation login. Your previous login, which was the same as your FTP login, will be no longer valid. Once your Community Center registration request is approved, you will see a link in the Community Center to the Online Documentation. When you click this link and see the authentication window, enter your new Community Center username and password.
Data Dictionary: After your registration request has been approved, if you do not have access to the Data Dictionary, have your EarthSoft PoC send an e-mail to email@example.com requesting access to the Data Dictionary. To use the Data Dictionary, click the Data Dictionary link in the Community Center. You can search by Table Name or Column Name, view All Tables/Views, or select individual Tables or Views. If you have any suggestions regarding the Data Dictionary, feel free to contact the EarthSoft Help Desk.
Forum Moderation: EarthSoft reserves the right to moderate any and all posts in the Community Center Forums.
Account Maintenance and Password Recovery: We can assist with member account creation or editing; however, we are not able to see members’ passwords. If you need to have your password reset, we can create a temporary password for you that you can then reset after you log in (click My Profile > Edit Profile).
